NVSP Portal

The National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) is an online resource for Indian residents to apply for voter ID, check voter ID application status, download voter ID cards, and request voter corrections, among other things. On the occasion of Federal Electoral Day on January 25, 2015, the portal was launched.

In India, no one is allowed to discriminate or offend others, and everyone has the right to vote. Citizens over the age of 18 can apply for a Voter ID using the NVSP portal; the online application process for a new Voter ID is rather straightforward, and we’ve included it below.

2. Citizens must first create a National Voter Service Site account by visiting the new NVSP portal, voterportal.eci.gov.in.

Steps to create and sign in the NVSP Portal account

Citizens must carefully follow the step-by-step instructions below to create an NVSP Portal account and log in.

• To make an account on the NVSP Portal, go to voterportal.eci.gov.in.
  You will be required to log into your NVSP account after clicking the link provided above; if you do not have an NVSP account, use the “Create an account” option.
• You will be requested to enter an email address or phone number after clicking the Create Account option. I propose that you provide your mobile phone number, then tap Send OTP.
• You’ll be prompted with a 6-digit OTP fill-in after pressing the Send OTP option. Tap Verify.
• After selecting the verify option, you will be directed to a web page where you must establish a password of at least 8 characters, enter it in both text boxes, input the CAPTCHA code, and check the Terms of Service before selecting the “Create Account” option.
• After selecting the Create Account option, you will be routed to a web page with a Welcome button, which you should select.
• After selecting the “Welcome” option, a pop-up box will open, prompting you to enter your first and last name, state or UT, and gender, then complete all required procedures before clicking the “Submit” button.

Note: The above instructions are only for creating and logging into an NVSP Portal account.

Steps to apply for Voter ID through NVSP Portal @voterportal.eci.gov.in

• You must carefully follow the step-by-step instructions below in order to apply for a Voter ID using the NVSP portal, i.e. @voterportal.eci.gov.in.
• To apply for a voter ID, go to voterportal.eci.gov.in first.
• You must log in to your NVSP Portal account after visiting the above-mentioned link.
• After logging into your NVSP Portal account, you will be routed to a page with a New Voter Registration option, which you should select.
• After selecting the above choice, you will be taken to a web page with a Let’s Start button, which you should select.
• “Are you applying for Voter ID for the first time?” you’ll be asked after tapping the Let’s Go button. Because you’re applying for the first one, choose Yes and then press the Save button to continue.
• Then you’ll be asked, “Are you an Indian citizen?” Select Yes as the first option, then Save and Continue.
• You’ll be prompted to provide the appropriate credentials and upload the required documents after selecting the Save & Continue option. Do both carefully and complete the application.

Note: After completing the application, you will receive a reference number that can be used to check the application status.

Visit the NVSP site, log into your account, tap three vertical lines (in the top right corner), tap the Track Status option, enter the reference number, and tap the “track your status” option to check the status of your Voter ID.
