Money Heist Korean 2022

“Money Heist” (La Casa de Papel in Spanish) ended last year after five seasons on TV. On the show, The Professor and his gang of professional thieves attempted an elaborate robbery on Spain’s Royal Mint, which went horribly wrong. Following its 2017 debut, the show quickly became one of Netflix’s most addictive offerings.

The new Korean remake, directed by Kim Hong-sun, is said to follow the same storyline as the original. The 12-episode teaser features actors from “Squid Game,” “Lost,” and “Burning,” all masked and dressed in red boiler suits. It uses a Hahoetal mask instead of the Salvador Dali mask used in the previous exhibition “Money Heist.”

“I’m excited to be greeting viewers through a drama for the first time in a while,” Lee Hyun-woo said via his agency. I’ll do my best to create a memorable character and an appealing production for the Money Heist Korean remake.

Money Heist Korean Trailer

On January 18, Netflix released a teaser trailer. At the beginning of the film, the professor stands in front of a wall, holding many traditional Korean masks as well as the famous Salvador Dali mask. But the camera pans away before the viewer can see which mask he has chosen.

The teaser ends with Seon Woojin, the team leader, in a control room. The teaser video ends with each heist participant’s code name and initials. The trailer also indicates that the film will be titled Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.

Korean Money Heist Plot

The Korean remake, which will be a new interpretation of the beloved Netflix original, is expected to follow the same framework. It implies that a gang led by the Professor will attempt to steal a valuable item while avoiding detection.

The show’s official title suggests it will deal with Korea’s socio-economic struggle on both sides of the border. This could be a reference to the Joint Security Area. North and South Korea battle it out in this demilitarized zone.

KOREAN MONEY HEIST Number of Episodes

The first season will have 12 episodes, each around an hour long. Netflix says this is comparable to the first two seasons of the Spanish TV series before it was renewed for three more seasons.

You can watch all five seasons of Money Heist on Netflix while you wait for Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. The streaming site offers two documentaries that provide insight into the show’s popularity and creation.
