Children with disabilities may be granted an age relaxation of up to two years by the head of the relevant school to accommodate their unique needs and abilities. According to the KVS admission norms for 2022-23, a total of 15 percent of seats are allocated for students from Scheduled Castes (SC), and a total of 7.5 percent of seats are reserved for students from Scheduled Tribes (ST) (ST). Students from Other Backward Classes non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL) are entitled to 27 percent of available seats.
